Mahindra has unveiled the 2025 XUV 3XO, a compact SUV set to enter the Australian market with a starting price below $30,000. This model represents a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the XUV300, featuring a refreshed design, enhanced technology, and improved safety features.

The XUV 3XO offers three engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 111 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, a 1.2-litre TGDi mStallion turbo-petrol engine delivering 128 bhp and 230 Nm, and a 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine with 115 bhp and 300 Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic for the petrol variants, and a 6-speed AMT for the diesel variant. Notable features encompass a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety is prioritized with six airbags, electronic stability control, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.

Context & Background

Mahindra’s XUV300, launched in 2019, faced challenges in the competitive compact SUV segment. The introduction of the XUV 3XO aims to address these challenges by offering a more refined design, advanced features, and competitive pricing. The Australian market’s growing demand for affordable yet feature-rich compact SUVs positions the XUV 3XO as a strong contender against established models like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Nissan Magnite.
